Microneedling improves overall skin texture and tone by puncturing the skin with small, sterile needles. This procedure reduces fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, hyperpigmentation, and scarring.
Microneedling is also known as collagen induction therapy (CIT). Collagen is a key protein that controls skin elasticity by replacing dead skin cells. Pricking the skin with these special needles stimulates collagen production to heal the affected area and reveal firmer skin.
Short and Safe Process
Sterling Aesthetics takes the utmost care to make microneedling a gratifying experience. The whole process normally takes between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the area(s) being treated and whether or not the patient requests numbing cream. Our aestheticians take the proper measures to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. Most of our patients report very little sensation.
Individuals who undergo microneedling can expect a recovery time of several days, at least. The affected area may experience a bit of redness, but this is only temporary. After the skin has healed, patients enjoy skin that looks more radiant and youthful.
